Peter (PJ) Thelen
PJ joined Sunrise Technology in October 2018. Prior to Sunrise, he spent 19 years with Pomeroy, an Information Technology solutions provider. From 2009-2018, PJ was the Chief Sales Officer responsible for Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Partner Management and Staffing. Prior to 2009, PJ held various management level positions within the company, beginning as General Manager and CFO for the Cincinnati branch office from 2000-2005, RVP of Sales for the Great Lakes Region in 2006, VP of Enterprise Sales for the Great Lakes and Northeast regions in 2007 and Vice President of National and Alliance Sales in 2008. Before joining Pomeroy, PJ, a C.P.A, was a consultant with Arthur Anderson for seven years. PJ earned his bachelor's degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
Chief Operating Officer
Wesley is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Sunrise Technology, LLC a Kroger commercial technology venture company which invents and sells Kroger advanced technologies to other companies. Wesley also serves with Kroger Corporation as the VP of Technology Transformation focused on the application of new technologies, paradigms, methods, and innovations to better serve Kroger customers. Prior to joining Kroger, Wesley had an eighteen-year career with IBM where he served in numerous capacities including as the Chief Technologist in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud & Cognitive computing, as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Sensemaking, as the CTO for Corporate Strategy and as the Deputy CTO for US and NATO National Security and Defense.
Chief Innovation Officer
Brett leads a team focused on creating sustainable competitive advantage by inventing advanced technologies and developing projects for retail and logistics that individually have at least a $50 million contribution. In 2017, Brett was named as a Computerworld Premier 100 Tech Leader. His team's FAST Alerts system won a CIO 100 award and ranked #3 in InfoWorld Elite 100 for QueVision for 2014. He is honored to be a 2013 Franz Edelman Laureate for Achievement in Management Science and a 2010 Planet Retail Innovator of the Year. Brett is a named inventor on 29 US patents. Before joining Kroger in 2006, he served 25 years at Federal Express in various position. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Memphis and attended graduate school at Rensselaer and Western Michigan, in addition to studying law at Concord School of Law. He is a professional engineer registered in Tennessee.
Director Of Sales
Dave leads the global sales organization for Sunrise Technology. Dave joined Sunrise in January of 2019. Prior to Sunrise, he spent the past 18 years with Pomeroy/Getronics, a global information technology company. From 2016-2018, Dave served as the managing director and Vice President of Sales for the global retail vertical focused on selling technology and services to the grocery, specialty retail, and quick serve restaurant industries. Prior to 2016, Dave held various positions with the company beginning as an Account Manager from 2001-2009, Key Account Director from 2009-2011, then Vice President of Technology Sales, Key Accounts from 2011-2015. Dave earned his bachelor's degree from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana.
Product and Software Development
Jeff serves as Director of Product and Software Development for Sunrise. Jeff is a highly regarded technology strategist, and innovator focused on bringing market-driven products to life in Government, Financial, Retail, Healthcare industries over the past 30 years. Before joining Sunrise, Jeff held multiple senior leadership positions developing products in Payments and Retail verticals at Fifth Third Bank that solved market needs of customers allowing them to focus on their core business and customers. Jeff also served as CTO of First Data Government division where he worked with customers to develop and commercialized products in government, healthcare and payments space.
LeeAnn leads the Sunrise Project Delivery team focused on delivering quality advanced retail technologies. LeeAnn has over 25 years' experience in IT Project Delivery with extensive experience managing large complex programs providing measurable uplift to the customer. She began her career as a developer and evolved into positions including Director of IT and Director of PMO in a wide range of industries from manufacturing to finance. Working with several BIG 5 consulting firms LeeAnn has vast knowledge in delivering quality products in a cost effective manner with excellent customer service.
Supply Chain / Vendor Management Leader
Padma heads the supply chain organization for Sunrise Technology. Padma has been part of Sunrise since April of 2019. Prior to Sunrise, Padma held several roles at 84.51° over the last 10 years, including Program Manager and Associate Director of Operations. In these roles, Padma worked in various specializations such as Strategic Vendor Management, Research Partnership development, Data Operations, Functional Operations, and Panel Management. Before 84.51°, Padma was a Project Manager and Behavioral Data Analyst at dunnhumby. Padma earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Application from IGNOU and received a Post-Graduate diploma in Management from the Institute of Management Technology in India as well. Padma is a strong believer in continuous learning and has continued her education with a master's degree in Business Administration (Marketing and Management) from the University of Cincinnati and has also received certificates in leading Disruptive Innovation Strategies and Mastery in Negotiations from Harvard Business School Online. An avid community uplift advocate, Padma was an active Chair for the Degrees of Giving program for 8+ years focusing on helping Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Cincinnati Art Museum.
Robert is responsible for managing Sunrise Technology's financial activity across the entire organization. Robert has been part of Sunrise since 2019. Before joining the Sunrise team, Robert held several leadership roles at Pomeroy/Getronics over a span of 20 years. His titles included Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Regional Business Manager, and Financial Analyst. During Robert's time as the Director of Pomeroy/Getronics, he reported directly to the CFO and was responsible for managing the annual budgeting process for revenue, cost of sales/services, SG&A, and capital expenditures. Robert graduated from Thomas More college in Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Robert has been a certified Public Accountant for nearly twenty years.
